The Asian plates are pretty good with large portions, but the sushi is very sub-par. I would say the sushi is most similar to the quality at a Chinese buffet (not good). Not very kid friendly as there is no kids menu. Very small place with a funny smell. My wife and two kids all ordered water and the bill was still $77. I will never eat here again. I did not see the Hibachi grill experience, so i can not speak as to its value.

Make this quick! Sushi overpriced and was so so. I mean it is Missouri and the lake doesnt get you FRESH crab, lobster, etc.. we ordered kungpao and orange peel chicken, was pretty good (only reason 2 stars was given) with garlic noodles (some cheap italian walmart pasta with tons of oil and garlic powder, YUCK)! OTHERWISE IF YOU ARE A PERSON FOR GOOD SERVICE AND GOOD ATMOSPHERE DO NOT GO HERE!!! THE OWNER AND SUSHI GUY RUDE THIS BIG FAT WHITE GUY EXTREMELY RUDE AND CLEARLY HATED HIS JOB! IT TURNED A FEW PEOPLE AWAY, LUCKILY WE HAD A REALLY NICE GIRL WHO WAS NEW THERE. I DEF WOULD NOT RETURN. MAYBE GRAB FOOD FOR TAKE OUT, IF I WAS DESPERATE AND LIVED IN THE AREA.

Stumbled upon this place with my friends when visiting from out of town. I was shocked at the freshness of the sashimi and the the creativity of the sushi rolls. The waiter was a delight and the Hibachi show was amazing. My favorite dish was the steak from the hibachi grill it was cooked just right and you can taste it was a good piece of steak. I would definitely come back here if I am ever in that part of the country again.

The best Asian food at the lake. Sushi is great along with everything else. Haven't done the hibachi grill yet but will soon!

At first glance this restaurant doesn't look like the most appetizing place....but looks can be deceiving. It took me a while to try Asia Cuisine after moving to the lake but was pleasantly surprised when I finally did. It has become my go to place for both sushi and Chinese. The Generals Chicken is my favorite. This restaurant is definitely worth a try!

Very good food. "Springfield" cashew chicken is awesome. The outside of the building is very nondescript but don't let that fool you. Good food at great prices. I eat here every trip to the lake.

Food is upscale Asian food for the lake, but it is very dark inside, and they will not open the blinds even during the day! My husband looked behind the blinds and it was flithy!! I guess that is why they don't open them! Floors are pretty dirty also, makes me wonder about the kitchen! Although we still frequent here every once in awhile. We like the Egg Rolls and the sauce they have. The entrees are large and different than most Chinese places. Try the Pineapple Shrimp!!

My guy and I decided to try this place since he was craving sushi. The experience was decent, not horrible, not out of this world. I cannot eat raw fish right now, so decided to get sesame chicken. It was good. It came with a salad and asparagus, but I didn't try ether one. My guy ate the asparagus; no complaints. The portion size was quite large an the plate was also. I actually commented that it was more like a platter. He ordered a few piece of sushi and 3 rolls. Again, no complaints, but he didn't rave about it either. They didn't look appetizing, but I'm picky about how rolls look, so it may just be me. After dinner, I really needed to go the bathroom. I first discovered there wasn't any toilet paper. Then no paper towels. Finally, no soap. My guy looked at me with an inquisitive look when I came out of the bathroom so quickly. I told him there MUST be at least one of the three! This restaurant doesn't take American Express. The place was dead on a Saturday night, so no waiting if you are in a hurry. The service was good and the server was very friendly.

Small family-run hide-away with great food. Combination of Japanese and Chinese. They have 2 hibachi grills and half a dozen 4-tops, with a well stocked small bar. I had shrimp tempura, it was great. They also serve sushi. They run daily specials like a 3 course dinner for 2 for only $23, which includes 1 app, 2 entrees, rice & 1 dessert (look out Applebees). Best kept secret of Osage Beach. PS no MSG

This place is awesome. Lots of great dishes from different parts of Asia. Friendly staff too! There's also a hibachi (reservations only). It's not much to look at from outside but once the food is served you'll be very impressed. Taste, and presentation are incredible! One of my favorite places at the lake!

Happened to be in the area for a wedding and was looking for any kind of Asian food, preferably Japanese. Stumbled upon this hole-in-the-wall place doing fun and fabulous steak teppanyaki. It was a complete surprise! They also have a great deal of good fresh fish to select from for sushi and sashimi. If you are in the area and have a craving for some great Asian food, stop on in.....the staff is nice and eager to serve.

By far, the best chinese restaurant at the Lake!!!! I've tried 3 different platters & all of them were outstanding! The service & the atmosphere are superb as well! They also have convenient carry-out option as well! If you like chinese food, then this is the only place to get it from!!!!

Pretty good Asian food, considering that rural, central Missouri is about as geographically and culturally far away from Asia as you can get. I had hot and sour soup and the Buddhist delight. The hot and sour soup was nothing special, but I highly recommend the Buddhist delight. It had a lot of fresh vegetables stir fried in a yummy sauce. It was great and I'd definitely order it again.

Best Chinese at the Lake. This place has changed over the last couple years. You can order off the menu or have a buffet, if that is your thing. We ate off the menu and both dishes were very good. Reasonable prices and good service. Atmosphere is pretty plain, but clean.

Don't let the exterior of this place fool you. We reluctantly went here on the recommendation of locals and were pleasantly surprised. They have a hibachi grill and sushi for dinner. Very reasonable prices and huge portions. The food was so good we came back for lunch. Most items on the lunch menu were $5 with huge portions as well. Give this place a chance if you're spending any time at the lake.

My wife always hates this place when we go. She says the food is not good. I however always thought it was ok. The presentation on their food has always seemed over the top. They use fancy plates and keep everything in its own compartment. I guess my biggest complaint is going to have to be the service. Anytime I have gone there is just one guy serving the whole restaurant. He has some serious street issues. He shows his stress by taking it out on the customers and cook. He always voices how irritated he is. And he is always so sweaty that you wonder how much is in your food. Maybe my wife is right. There are better choices available so go somewhere else.

I can only give a lunch review for this place. I went there with my wife and two kids. They loved the noodles! We ordered three lunch meals for about $5.50 each and had enough for supper that same night. It most certainly was not modern, but it was clean and the waiter was very nice. We do Chinese a lot and the food was very much above average. I will definitely be back for lunch!

Good food but overpriced especially sushi. Three rolls $60, just like in some fancy restaurant but it ain't that fancy. They need to change the paint and decor inside.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
